Volunteer

Join us! There’s lots to do! Ravenswood is a wonderful place to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of children. We provide a robust offering of volunteer choices.

One-Time Volunteer Project Opportunities

Interested in volunteering for fun one-day projects in Ravenswood? One-time Volunteer opportunities arise in the district sporadically and often.  Projects can range from cleaning up a school campus, organizing a library, helping us assemble packets, and so much more! If interested in joining the mailing list to receive notice of these opportunities as they rise please fill out the form below.

Adopt-a-Classroom

Adopt-A-Classroom began in 2009 when 40 teachers were adopted at three schools in the District. This year, we seek to adopt all of the 110 classroom teachers who opt into the program.

Adopt-a-Classroom invites a group (1-8 individuals) to provide much needed encouragement and school supplies to a teacher for the school year. Adopting a Classroom involves a nine-month commitment (generally mid-October to mid-June) and a financial cost of $500 in supplies. Each group assumes the following general responsibilities:

Assemble and deliver to the teacher 2 supply kits (guidelines are provided)

Optional: Provide encouragement for a classroom teacher through notes or small gifts of appreciation (e.g. a plant or coffee gift card)
