Makerspace

Makerspace offers students the opportunity to explore STEM related topics through a hands-on, project based approach that is both fun and engaging. These projects expand students’ skills including strategic thinking, collaboration, negotiation, and the understanding of science and creativity concepts with the aim of sparking student interest in continuing to pursue STEM coursework and possibly inspire future STEM careers.

Robotics

Robotics classes are offered at the Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School. The Robotics curriculum allows students to be invested in their creation by encouraging teamwork, creativity, and problem solving skills.

This program only began in the 2019-2020 school year and the CCRMS robotics team has been participating in competitions ever since. Students represented Ravenswood at the 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas - the largest robotics competition in the world!
